Sooo, I never read books about 2 men. Not that theres anything wrong with it, its just not my thing. BUT, after I read the first book and its novella, and lets be honest weren't we all cracking up with them? i mean that novella I thought I was going to die from laughter. I decided that I wanted to keep reading about the characters, and would just have to skip over anything that made me uncomfortable. However, nothing made me uncomfortable. Everything was perfect. Turns out I'm not as much of a prude as I thought I was, even though there was some solid details involved. But seriously, the funny scenes were hysterical. They romantic scenes were so sweet, and I could really feel the anger hurt, and love with these characters. Can't wait for the next book. I just hope she doesn't do a reverse herem with any of them, thats one genre that I really can't get into, though maybe for these character I'd have to deal with it, I like them so muchProduct details

I loved Ethereal Lives so of course couldn't wait to read the sequel. It lived up to expectations! Following Jas and Paid as they discover their love for each other was just as exciting as following Arianne and Ax. The story line is unique and full of twists. The side plots add depth the an already intriguing main plot and set it up for a third book. It also brings resolve to some of what was started in Ethereal Lives. Over all a very enjoyable read!
The storyline is exciting. The characters are awesome. I read the first story in this series and loved it. This one is slightly different. At first I did not know if I would like it since it touches on male with male action. Only I found out the storyline out weighed this .The storyline is exciting,sweet,suspenseful,funny, this alien group are so unique they can take on any form! So all in all you will love this Incredible alien romance.
I really enjoyed the first book in this series, and was happy to read the second. There is a great deal of believable, intriguing personal interaction in this installment, focusing much more on two of the crew and their romance. The author weaves a fun adventure, has created a fascinating universe and a wonderful species in the Ethereals. I am hoping she has more stories to tell! I did wish for a bit more action, but this was much more of an introspective, almost a slice-of-life novel, set in the space opera world.
I loved the first book and was eager to find out what happened next to this small group of survivors. The Ethereals are a unique alien species who are in essence beings of light who can morph into any kind of fleshly alien. Unfortunately, this ability earned them such hatred by other species that the Ethereal's home world was destroyed (Death-starred!) and all surviving Ethereals are under an intergalactic extermination order. The small group of Ethereals onboard the ship, all male, are still alive because they were off world, working together as opportunistic traders at the time (and continue to do so to survive). In the first book the crew are all shocked when the human woman they abduct from Earth (to sell for a profit) turns out to be the captains fated mate. Ethereals only have one fated mate with whom they can breed (hence they assumed their species was extinct). In this second book the story zooms in to focus on two of the Ethereal crew, Praid and Jas, who have both been feeling drawn to each other as mates ever since taking on 'human' form. This book in the series is in essence a gay romance (much more focused on the two main characters than the first book). Praid and Jas are both lovely characters (and it's good to know they find resolution and happiness), but gay romances aren't my cup of tea so...that's why it was a three stars read for me. When I finished I wanted to hug half of the crew because staying alive and free without a broken heart isn't easy when you're an Ethereal. I love the author's Universe. She's a brilliant story teller and I can't wait to read Book 3 to find out what happens next.
I read this without reading the first book and while I can say it's easy to pick up and understand I can defiantly tell I missed a lot from the first book and plan to go back an start from the beginning as soon as I have the time. Overall a cute little sci-fi M/M romance novella and definitely worth a read. Short but sweet, has a cute take on 'two virgins' and an engaging set of species, tech, and planets. Boys are a fumbling, bumbling mess but in an endearing way and there's an interesting twist mid-story.
