Although you should read the first book for key background information on the characters, this book is superior than the first in many ways. It is simply better written for starters. There were far fewer moments when you have to suspend disbelief because the characters' actions seem a tad unrealistic. The book is also incredibly funny! I found myself laughing out loud many times. Finally, the book succeeds very well in developing the relationship between the characters. I had a much better understanding about how their nontraditional family functioned/worked together than I had in the first book. Really well done!Product details

Loving the max character!, great one liners! Could have easily been 4 different stories, though... Entertaining book to pass the time.
This is easy summer time reading. Light and fun. I can't wait for the next installment to see what mystery the ladies will solve.
Nice storyline from 3 different perspectives.
The only unreal part was that of course all protagonists were beautiful and rich and successful.
For some reason, I found myself reading book one and book two of this series. The storyline is interesting. Not the best writing, but certainly not the worst.
I love this book as much as the first. Great sarcastic humor, unique story line. Wonderful, wish the author would write more.
The actual plot is a little thin, but the concept is interesting. This needs, really needs a third book! Ya have to wonder if Katie and Max ever take it any further and if Daniella goes ballistic over it.
